Is HIV/AIDS an autoimmune disease? Explain please!!!?

I'm confused because an autoimmume disease is one where the immune cells recognise 'self' cells as 'non-self' and attacks them, but the HIV virus targets T-helper cells and prevents them from activating B-cells to produce antibodies. How are they 'attacking' the cells then?
