Why aren't we allowed to feed the ducks anymore?

After 15 years, they stopped all feedings at Lk Monroe Marina in Sanford. This I think maybe b/c of the new marina but still, people have been feeding them ducks for as long as I can remember!! And another lake, people were told to not feed the ducks. I don't understand.
