Why do I have a fascination with 80s kids?

It sounds like a funny question but seriously put sometimes I feel like I wish I was old enough to be a grade schooler and teenager in the 80s. I was born in 80 but I seem to think that the children born from 73-76 were so cool and lived in a happier time. What does that mean psychologically speaking? No need to be too serious, I just want to know what it might mean. Thanks.
