Do you cover wax leaf shrub for a freeze?

Waxleaf (ligustrum) and Waxleaf Privet (ligustrum japoni) are hardy to zones 7-8, meaning that established plants can withstand temperatures down to 0-20 degrees. I'd still mulch well after the ground freezes to prevent heaving damage to feeder roots. Hope this helps...
